2003 MDX - How do I reset the Nav System after battery change?
I recently had to disconnect and replace the battery in my 2003 MDX. After the replacement, I was asked to input the code for the radio; I did that and the radio worked.
I was NOT asked for the code for the Nav system. But now when I start the car I get a prompt on the Nav system screen that says "Please check your disk", and the Nav system and everything else related to the touchscreen/center console for the Nav system does not work. MENU and AC/INFO buttons do not function.
I went to the Nav system disk drive under the passenger seat and ejected and replaced the disk. No change.
Prior to the battery change the Navigation portion of the system was already not working; I believe it wanted me to update the disk. But the rest of the functions of the screen did work.
Other times when I have needed to disconnect the battery I have been asked for the radio code, which I then enter as directed. But I have never has an issue with the Nav system not working and I have never been asked for a Nav system code. I've looked in both my Owners Manual and Nav System manual and neither tells me how to enter the code. Frankly I don't know if the code is even the issue here, but I've already tried removing/replacing the Nav disk without success and I'm not sure what else I can do.
Any ideas for how to regain functionality of the system? I'd like to get the Navigation working again, but I'm more concerned with regaining the AC controls and the Trip Computer on the touchscreen/center console.
Thanks in advance for any help!
