I have been kicking the idea of transplanting a oddsey van 3.5V6 into
my gen 1 legend then putting 5-6 pounds of boost to it.(hoping for 300+
hp but would settle for 275. and i like the low end torq of the
big V6)



so here is the question. does any one know if there is a 5 or 6 speed manual transmission that will bolt to the 3.5?



wiring and mounting i can take care of

but tranny and axles i cant.



got to go honda/acura parts (i want to tell people its "stock")

into a g1? its not going to happen. people havent even been able to put a 3.2L in, let a lone a 3.5L. and isnt the engine in the odyssey the same that is RL?

if you want a fast car, then get a different body (model/make) or expect to pay more than 4-5x's what a G1 is worth, and 2-3x's more than just buying a faster car.

 

Yeah I can't see that happening, the only engine swap thats been done in a Legend has been either a type 1 to type 2 or dropping in a 3.5 from an RL (not the newest RL). You drive a G1 so I doubt anything can be swapped. < =""><!--

well i got me a 3.5 out of a oddysey today. cheep it has a torn casting wheres the stock rear mount goes....next its off to the machine shop to see about a tranz adapter to use the stock gen1 legend tranz.

i know im looking at custom mounts/harness/jackshaft.

but telling me it cant be done...well that fighten words.

should it be done??? well time will tell

i gave up on a different transmission.

and i am still driving this tired gen1.
