Its a 1990 Acura Legend. Recently went to start it and it was totaly dead, checked the battery with a multi meter and it read normal so i started process of elimintion. First thing I checked was the fusebox under the hood and the 70amp Fusable link had blown so I replaced it and the car ran like a champ again. But i knew the fuse blew for a reason and sure enough it blew again after about 2 trips. It hasnt blown while driving, it just doesnt start when u come back to it. There is onlyone 70amp in there, does anyone know what its for? My next plan of attack is to just trace the wires to see where is shorting or why its surgingbut any input would be great, i have never been under the hood of a acura before, only toyotas.

i believe that is your alternator power lead wire.

i guess it could be your system main fuse.

ok this thing pops after short trips.

check your headlight bulbs i have seen elements fall into its self and short the high beams to the low beams.

you need to get this thing running then start using electrical systems. ie run the windows and see if it popped. test the lights, horn, radio, hazzards and anything else you can thinkk of. till this thing pops.
