how you guys doing? i am new to this forum. my girlfriend bought a 91 legend a few months ago. and it ran fine up until about 3 weeks ago when it started overheating and the coolant would seem to erupt. she took it to a mechanic which said it was a blown head gasket and then proceeded to say it will cost her about $3000. to fix. i said no. i can definitely get it fixed for wayy cheaper. but now my mechanic says its the thermostat and the radiator.
long story short. the trans seems to be having problems now too.
what do you guys think i should do to the car?
and if i was to sell it. how much money do you think i could honestly get for it.
thanks for your help

Overheating...try the tstat and a coolant flush FIRST. The head gasket can go bad if you dont take care of it and romp the gas like a madman. But if its bubbling in the tank...its a head gasket..the bubbles come from the engines compression strokes if you will.
