*help*funky idle from cold start

cold start my 91 legend 190000mi will idle at 2500rpms after a quick
press on the gas pedal like you would to kick a choke off a carb'd
motor, my vehicles idle than bounced from 1.5k rpms to 2.5k rpms
repetivly once the car is warm temp needle resting squarly at the 2nd
from the bottem line of the temp gage. the car idles normally. no
engine lite on at all. any help would be appreciated, thanks.

cold idle circuit is failing have it checked out.
the test to see if that is indeed the problem is to creat a small vacume leak by unplugging a vac hose. like the 1 to your cruise control if every thing settles down after it is un plugged then there ya go. if not then look into coolent levels and engine codes/ system specs
