its a bunch of bullsh*t lol 15 lbs? first off all if you don't buy a non powersteering rack you will f**k up your rack cuz your not pumping fluid through it. and it doesnt' take much power to work it either. and if you plan on takin your a/c off don't do it. when you race you race wide open throttle right? well your a/c compressor shuts off when your at WOT

the loss of the power steering system and the loss of the complete airconditioning system would result in a 1-3 hp gain in all out HP and the loss of about 20 pounds.

then remove the cruise control, interior, sterio system, replace the hood, fenders, hatch with carbon fibor, replace the glass with lexan, then spend the next 200 hours trimming off a pound or 2 here and there i bet you could loose 200pounds. almost a 10%weight loss.

of course the roll cage you will need to install back into the car to make it safe again, will weigh all of that.

screw it keep the ac and power steering and crank the radio. just buy a BIG *** turbo.

exactly.... your race car has to have some luxury. a/c is nice in the summer, especially when your windows fog up.

alright i got a question my engine bogs out below 3grand, after that its fine, also gettin like 5 miles to the gallon, and i have 3 codes, one of my o2 sensors arent workin and manufactoring fuel/air metering, and evap code. would any of those 3 things do it?

and i know a lot of people who just take the power steering belt off there cars, you still have the fluid running through the rack but you just have a hard time steering. would that still fuc* up the rack????

please explain how it will pump through the rackwith the pump not pumping? and you only have a hard time steering at a stop once you start movin its easier, actually alot better then with power steering. just get a pulley kit and lightweight crank pulley.

In most cases a need for all out power at 100% full throttle happens in a straight line.

if there is little to no demand on the steering system there will be little to no demand for power from your engine.

the performance difference is just like a olympic swimmer not shaving befor a race. (yes in theory and practice no P/S belt will give you more power.)

im betting on less than 1 horse pony.

and a power rack with no fluid FLOWING through it will wear out fast and cost you around $500.00 to have it replaced.

plus all the oil leaking under your car will stick to the underside of it and over time will gather several pounds of dust and dirt. costing you power/handling/braking.

if your still bent on this then find a smaller pulley for that pump.

lack of power under 3k then every thing chills out sounds to me like you engine is flooding

if that bad oxy sensor failed in a dead lean position then you engine will be feed ton of fuel to try to richen it up.

get that sender fixed first then run it a bit and see if the other codes clear up.

to much fuel can burn up a cattalitic converter or just plug it up with soot. fit it sooner vs later
