I have CompTech headers and just recently bought new Koyo radiator to replace my leaking stock Showa radiator. Problem is, the Koyo radiator is significantly bigger than stock. The fan that mounts on the driver's side of the radiator is hitting the headers. The radiator is non-refundable. Is there another fan I can buy to solve the problem?

I tried grinding down where it is hitting, but have to grind quite a bit and I am worried about the integrity of the brace I am grinding. If I don't get some clearance between the fan and headers, I am worried that due to the engine flex, it may push fan into radiator and possibly destroying it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

a set of lexilites may work - they are thinner in design and you can get em from jegs , summitracing.com, or andysautosport.

there are pusher stlye fans avaliable as well, ones that mount on
the front of the radiator (hurricane) is 1 type. that option may
allow more clearence.
