Hopefully someone can help me out here...

I recently had a friend help me install a new head unit, along with a Sirius receiver in my '99 Integra. Ever since, my headlights and brake lights seem to be connected. Whenever I turn my headlights on, my brake lights are always on, no matter if I am braking or not. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Is it an easy fix? Hopefully this is something that I can look into myself. I'll really appreciate any help anyone can give me with this.

Thanks!

Dustin

well it sounds to me like a wire pair was spliced into the brake lighting system for the radio by mistake.

you need to go over that radio install again and double check what was cut into.

as a professional car audio installer and an acura integra owner i can tell you that there is NOTHING that would have been cut into (well it shouldn't have been cut into) for the radio to be connected that would cause this problem ... i have completely customized my system in my teg and there is nothing that you would have cut into.... i would redo that stereo install , and double check the quality of work < src="http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" ="text/"></>< ="text/">_uacct = "UA-939292-41";

ok assuming the radio install is peferct.

go back and pull ALL the brake light bulbs out of the car 1 at a time. while your headlights are on.

im betting a filament broke and fell to the park lamp filament

pulling 1 at a time and when all of them shut off bingo there is the bad bulb

otherwise your gonna need to check that column switch and the turn signal switch.
