got a 2000 teg gsr gonna put a stroker kit in it already
have header back exhaust ,stage 2 clutch, lightened flywheel ,ported polished head ,cams, full radius valve job need input on the stroker kit good idea or not is it worth tha money |
i say no. just add a supercharger and you can make more horsepower for less money if you know what you are doing and you know where to shop. on the other hand the stroker kit then a supercharger and you could have major horsepower gains. (but thats only if you've got the money)

turbos vs superchargers. now there is a long heated debate with no winners.
i love em both both have pros and cons. now a stroker kit will cure that weak rod and piston issue that the stock motors have and that will allow you another 3-5 pounds of boost stock motors i dont recommend more than 5-6 pounds of boost because the rods deform bad at high rpm. stroker kits are good for 10-11 pounds but are then limited at that till you lace the floating cylinder bores. IMO buy the stroker now run with it have fun. then for xmas ask for boost :) |
BTW what cams did you get? got any spec's???
