Hey~

When i first bought my integra i didnt know how to drive a manual and went with the automatic model. I have recently taught myself to drive a stick and really want a 5 speed in my car. I was wondering if there was a type of shift kit that could give me better acceleration like that of a manual, and i would also like to know how much an average shop would charge to do the swap. I have access to all parts and wires i need i just dont have the place or the time to do so. Any tips would be apprecitated. Thanx

that would depend on whether or not you would have to factor in labor rates, and on how much you could find a tranny/clutch/ shifter assembly/pedals/electronics for, money wise.

its goign to depend on the mechanic..and how much work is involved in things like making the pedal fit..etc.

the tranny should not have a problem and all the tabs and things that you need are on the car you just need the trany the linkage clutch clutch pedal cluch cable and if you want to get it exsactly like a 5 speed you need a 5 speed ecu computer.

$1400 for the conversion? Man I most be undercharging all my customers. If you are being quoted $1400, I woould shop around. I have done it for $500. Other people locally are charging no more than $650... These are just labor rates with parts not included.
