I was just wondering if a refurbished starter for my 98 Acura 3.0cl would be ok to install since it is so old. I know I run the risk of it going out again. But the price difference is so far apart from new to refurbished. Has anyone had any problems with refurbished parts?

Starters are pretty cheap, man. Why would you put a refurbished one in there?

Default IMHO Refurbished is as good as new....

Provided it has been refurbished by a reputable source. I replaced the starter on my 96TL w/a rebuilt one. Honda seems to be pretty proud of their starters as the price was pretty steep for a factory unit. It has been 2-3 years since replacement and so far it is working fine.
