The check gas cap light keeps coming on, the gas tank is full and I installed a new cap. What else cpuld it be. I CAN ALWAYS TAKE IT TO THE DEALER BUT IF ITS SOMETHING SIMPLE

 

the error code should go away with 80-100 miles of drivingwith a good gas cap seal. If it doesn't you mightneed to take it in as you may have a vacum leak. Also,don't try disconnecting the battery to reset your computer unless you have the stereo security code or you might end up at the dealer anyway. In older models ( I'm guessing you have a 06 or 07) the stereo code is either under the lid of the fuse box in the engine bay or somewhere on the glove box. Good luck! [img]smileys/smiley1.gif[/img]
