I have obtained this camera without any wiring information. The plug at the end of the cable has 6 wires. The red and black wires are assumed to be 12V and ground. In addition to these wires there is 1 yellow wire and 3 white wires. Where can I obtain information on the wiring layout? I would like to connect this camera to a video display. Thanks for any assistance.

does this camera have sound if so your white ones are audio and your yellow wire should be video.

if you don't want to take my advice you need to look at the maker of the camera and then talk to them.

Hello xtc,

Thanks for the reply. I was able to find out the pin designations for the camera by looking at the wiring diagram in the Mitchells Automobile Repair Manual. The yellow wire is for video and one of the white wires is the video ground. The other two white wires are for the shutter and something called "adap". I do not know what "adap" indicates.

Thanks for your interest,

Doug
