I have a 1996 intergra with the check engine light on. The car has 150,000 miles. The solinoid valve connected to the intake manifold and the charcoal canister is always opened. I removed it and placed 12 votlts to the termnals and it does not close. I tryed switchihg the positive and negative with no response. The valve costs $162. I would like to hear if anyone else has had a PO441 code "Evap Emmisions System Control incorrect. Purge Flow" before. What was done to fix the problem before I spend the money. Thanks in advance for any help.
