Hello, I just bought a 1999 Acura CL 3.0, and the previous owner had an aftermarket alarm installed. I do not know what brand though.

Anyway, the remote has been broken, and I want to buy a replacement. The ONLY words on the remote INSIDE and OUT, says "Vision". I looked up a vision remote and found ONE used one on ebay.

If I buy this, do you know how I can program it?

and

Can I just buy some universal remote and program it instead?

Thank you. I am a desperate noob.

my alarm brand is wheel (local brand). i dont know if this will work or no on your remote.

i re-programed it last year.
- put the key on ignition and then after you see "oil light, etc' on your speedometer. you can push all buttons (2 buttons on my remote) on your remote (old remote).
- put out the key and change the remote then do the same like above (with new remote).

if you are not sure, you can ask to your mechanic.
