I'm having a real confusing problem with headlights on my 2003 3.2CL/S. With the combination switch in the low beam position both the low and high beams on the passenger side are lit. Only the high beam on the driver side is lit. The high beam indicator light on the dash is dimly lit.


When I move to the high beam postion (or flash to pass), the left driver's side headlights go out completely, and the high beam on the passenger side gets brighter. The high beam indicator on the dash goes out.


Any ideas ?

I'm fairly certain now that it's the HID control unit (inverter/igniter). Does anyone know for sure if this is, or isn't, covered under the extended warranty? I know the HID lamps aren't, but it doesn't say anything about the control unit.
