Hello, I was thinking about buying a used Acura TSX between '04 to '07. My question is regarding the ipod connectivity. I want to be able to plug my ipod into the auxiliary and directly control my ipod itself to select, play, and change songs. That is, I don't want to use the dashboard interface- just my ipod itself. Is this possible? Do I have to get some kit or something? If so, can you let me know what I can get and where?
Thanx |

I bought an iPod adapter which plugged into the back of the reciever into a weirdauxiliry jack and then had to fish the ipod wire through to my armrest so that required some instillation. It works via the steering wheel controls, radio controls, and the iPod controls so it's great. I don't know if you are talking about one of these adapters or do the new models have a direct hedphone jack looking auxilery input right on the center console because mine is an 05 and it may not have this luxery? If it has one of those hephonejack looking inputs then it will most likely be controlled via the iPod because it will also work for any other MP3 device so having a softwarecompatible withall MP3 playersin the reciever that only lets you control the MP3 players via the radio controls would be some feat. So it wouldn't even let you control the MP3 player via radio controls if it is one of theser headphone jack looking inputs. Sorry I can't help you more with this topic.

I figured out the model of the iPod integration kit. It's PA11-HONy2 link And I also figured out the 2006 and 2007 models have a auxiliry jack that goes to the front of the console with a male-male audio caple (like the headphone cable but male on both sides) |
