I am likely getting a used TSX. I will definitely want to remove the back race wing that hangs off the trunk if my car has one. Can you remove the back wing without problems or ugly scratches?Edited by: miked8887

is it a factory wing?

most wings have mounting studs that go through the trunk lid and removing the wing will leave a few holes.

so removing the wing could cost a few hundred to have the holes fixed and repainted.

then again maybe thats the new location of a witty bumper sticker

if by some chance you got a wing that is a pure stick on then just use
some adhesive remover to soften the tape and carefully cut the tape off
to remove the wing.

Yeah the little lip I put on the back of my TSX just has some sticky tape that once removed a bit of Goof Off or WD -40 could easily get off. Is it one of the huge wings or a little lip like mine? Edited by: Nintendoman64

I know this is an old thread but to my knowledge only the elite package tsx offers the spoiler (wing) if it bugs you that much dont go with a model that doesnt come with a wing.

Mine has a wing, it cuts off a little visibility in the back but it makes the car look nicer I have learned to live with it.
