I just picked up a o6 TSX yesterday.

There are 3 lamps on each side (going from side to center) - 1) A small white one 2)a small amber one and 3) a large white one.

When I turn the oridnary headlights on-- green symbol on dash- lamp 1 comes on - lamp 3 doesn't. Lamp 3 comes on only with the high beams on.

It's pretty bright with just the (1) lights but it seemed odd that the big lamp wasn't being used. I called the dealer. The sales manager said that's the way it's supposed to be. I called Acuras Customer service. She said the big light (3) should be on whenever the lights are on. But she it took a long time for her to figure this out and I'm not confident.

Does anyone know for sure? For ordinary night times driving (no fog lights, no high beams) which lamps should be lit?

Thanks.

Hey Rskay,

The amber is naturally your turn signal lamp. The small white one is the element of your HID (high intensity discharge) headlamp. When activating your headlights you'll see these come on with a blueish color. Awesome visibility.

The larger white one is your standard high-beam halogen.
