Anybody else do this upgrade? To 18inch wheels chrome alloy rims. It feels alot different. Not as fast, more clumsy. Any one else can comment.

i'm getting wheels, but not through acura. they will rip you off. i can get an equally nice set, that looks better for 400 bucks from ebay. no brainer. sorry it feels wrong to you with your wheels. I hope mine dont screw up the way it drives.....

I am just not used to 18 inch tires. I think it affects accelleration and handling. Seems a little less responsive. Maybe its just me. The tires look great but the exeperience seems different. Maybe something to do with the electric steering too. I had a Pontiac G6 before this that had the electric steering and there were serious issues with it(took it in 6 times to get fixed). Anyone know where I can get a good deal on 17inch rims for this vehicle?Edited by: aeb10574

Ok. Took it in and they lowered the tire pressure. Was 38 and put down to 34. It made a difference, but still like the 17s better, so am going to put them back on. Anyone know where I can get some Acura rims for the factory 17's since it wasn't an option. Thanks.

Yeah, the big rims do have a much different feel. I remember having a BMW 3 series and putting 18s on it...it really took away from the smooth drive. I think it's just one of the trade offs of rims. You may try getting thicker tires. This takes away from the look somewhat but helps smoothe out the drive...always a trade off..lol
