Is this correct? Approximately where is it? 2003 TL (not Type S) |
it is true its a huge 17mm bolt about the size of a silver dollar coin.
if you are standing infront of the car with the hood open. the firewall is the 12oclock position and the driver side front tire is at 3o clock. its at 2oclock and way down on top of the transmission and it points straight up. pulling the air box upper assembly from the engine will make it asd plain as day. |
please please make sure you use the correct type of transmission fluid. and dont stick a plastic funnel in there if the transmission is hot. it can melt into the transmission.
P.S. dont ask how i know this. |
Many thanks. I'm sure I'll be able to find it, and I don't even like to work on cars when they are hot, so I don't think I'll melt a funnel to the upper casing of the transaxle...however, I have also done similar things to which I will not readily admit.< =""><!--

i melted mine into the internals of the transmission.
4k worth of tuition payment there. |

P.S. dont ask how i know this. That is one of the most common causes of transmission failures. People take their cars somewhere else and get the transmission fluid changed. When people come in with a transmission problem... that is the first thing we ask. And it is the most common cause. |
