I have a new TL Type-S. I have about 3,000 miles on it. In the past month I have gone to southern Chicago about 5 times. Let me say I don't sit in the right lane. Anyway I have been driving it pretty hard. Lately the trans seams to shift strange. Maybe its my imagination. I am very alert to changes. Could the trans fluid be overworked already? Should I get the trans serviced already. I broke the car in correctly and don't drive it hard ever until the car is up to tempeture.

I have the Automatic.Edited by: JD TL-S

Not sure about you case, but on the same topic... I have the 6-spd and from time to time the 3rd gear doesn't engage properly and causes me to grind. I know it is not just me as my fiance experiences the same problem with she drives the car.

Couldn't find a TSB on this so is anyone else experiencing this?

I also have an 07 TL-S with the automatic. I love the car, but the transmission is by far the most uncomfortable and jerkyI have ever driven. It seems to downshift way too soon, and has a real problem searching for the right gear in off idle situations at speeds of 15 to 30 mph.

Cold operations (regardless of outside temp)before the engine and tranny get up to temp accentuates the roughness. I think I've seen complaints somewhere else.

I'm going to take it in for service, and see what they do.

I just posted a transmission problem myself... more so about clanking into gear when shifted from park, reverse, or drive. I also noticed a change where it seems the car stick in a gear, seems a little to do with performance and a little to do with a confused transmission. my car has 1400 miles on it... That's right 1400.. not 14000 or 140000

It's going to the dealer this week

3k miles or even 1400 both sound like you have manufactured defect within your cars.

take em back to the dealer and demand those quality acuras to be fixed
