TL 2013 timing chain or belt

I was told that at 100k miles I will need to replace the timing chain on my 2013 TL. Is this true and how much should it cost?

105K is the usual mileage to change them at. Its usually around $1000 from the dealer but varies somewhat. BTW its a belt, if it was a chain it wouldnt need to be changed.
