Does anybobdy know if there are any dealer recalls on 96-98 TL 2.5 Transmissions? Can you send me any links that may help me?

Our 99 3.2TL is in shop now getting a rebuilt tranny. Missed warranty by 5Kmiles. They extended the 100K warranty by 15k, and ours went out at 120K. Makes me mad... it has as a wonderful VTec engine, but a rotten tranny. We never received info regarding a recall, and dealer wouldn't bring it up. What happened to the good old trusty Honda!!! I believe we'll go back to Toyota or Nissan after this car. It is a beautiful vehicle, yes... but something is wrong with this model. I've viewed other sites that I wish I would have read before I purchased my Acura.

hey, TL's are notorious for trans problems. the warrant is extended to
100K but even after that the car is elegible for a goodwill
authorization. Meaning you may still be able to get it covered for
free, if not close to it. Usually they like to see that youve been a
loyal customer to the dealer beofre they goodwill it, but not always.
If you go in and speak with the service manager, im sure theyll take
care of you.
