no..xenon is a type of bulb that is typically used to imitate HIDs...

On Acura's Xenons are what the bulbs are filled with, where Hi Intensity Discharge is the type of bulb. Essentially one and the same.

Hid's are way better, plus they last you a lot longer, ive ben installin them for over 4 years and ive never experienced any problems with them.
