I am planning to purchase a 6000k HID bulb for my 2008 acura to type s headlights, which are currently at 4300k HID lights, do u think if i changed from 4300k to 6000k will there be a significant change in brightness and color? i am looking for a better color and mayb more brightness. ALso i want to change my fog lights to HIDs, and i wanted to know if i needed the HID conversion kit or can i just get the bulbs? the fog lights are not HIDS right now and they have a yellow color to them. There regular bulbs. Let me know how i can get HID fogs lights.

 

as far as i can tell the 6000k bulbs are 50 state legal and a bit brighter and whiter.

but when used with any other frontal lighting your vehicle will exceed the allowable max candle watts and you may get a ticket. in addition it is unsafe and rude to blind those coming at you at night.

personally i would run em and set my fogs to run with my high beams. or on a seperate switch to be used for effect.

 

I just did change to 6000k for my headlights and I am looking for a Fog Light HID kit of 6000k as well.While the 6000k are whiter the 4300 stock are the brightest you will be able to get.The 6000k do offer more than enough light but it is not brighter than the 4300K.
