I live in Fl were its extremely hot, so i figured that a cold air intake wouldnt be that effective because its so difficult to get cold air, i was wondering if this is a correct statement, if so what would be a better way to spend 300 dollars to add whp to my 2005 acura tl. If not, then can u please explain why?

No wrong statement..It's hot there yes but a CAI will still be letting in more cooler air than your regular air box which is above the heat..See what I mean !
