Can anyone offer advice on 03TL maint.?
 

Hello, my name is Jon, thank you for reading.

I own a 03 to that has given me nothing but pleasure for about seven years now. Best car I've ever owned.

I always get tired of a car after a few years, but this is the first one that I want to hold on to as long as she's healthy.

So I want to spend a few thousand for as much rejuvenation as I can afford.

Is there any headsup advice I can get as to what I should ask to be done? Just the regular scheduled major maintenance?

What would be the MOST essential things that need to be looked at/replaced?

Im assuming a reputable Acura dealer service is the best place to go?

The car has 95000 miles on it and doesn't seem to be malfunctioning in any way I can see ( knock on wood).

The most critical question at this point is: Have you replaced the timing belt on the car? If not, it is definitely time to do it. There may be some other maintenance that your service person will recommend at the same time they are replacing the timing belt.

The other weak area of these cars is the automatic transmission. It would not hurt to change the tranny fluid and filter.

Have you ever changed the brake fluid? That is supposed to be changed every two years, so that is something to be looked at too.

Thanks for that information. I've only done oil changes so I'll definitely put those things on my must do list.
