Ok so just got the car last month and already had it in
for repair but luckily the dealership paid half (No
Warranty). The driver's side headlight started to get
condensation and the low beams would not illuminate
except for maybe a couple of times I turned it on but
the high beams would. I took it in for repair and found
that the power inverter went out. They replaced that,
plus replaced the bulb and the headlight assembly. That
with an oil change at the dealership cost $459. Now I
realize maintenance is expensive but I was just
wondering if you guys thought that was pretty fair (keep
in mind it could have been nearly double). Also They
said that the brightness of the bulbs will start to
match up after about 15-18 hours of use cause the new
one is brighter. Should I have replaced them both??
Other than that I loved the car plus they gave me an 09
TSX as a courtesy car that I had some fun with on the
highway :)

Thanks!!

ya factory HID lights hurt like a MOFO.

1000-1200 is the norm.

good news they last for a very long time.

Bad news. you said condensation??? like water in the housing???did they fix that?boy i sure hope they did.

if not the repair will come back next time you wash the car or when it rains again.

never mind. i just reread your post and good they replaced that housing.

Your price is pretty fair for dealer price. I have seen the cost for what you had done go well over the $1,000 dollar mark. the bulb alone is vaguely over $200.

HID bulbs change color slightly with age. You will probably always have 2 different color headlights until you replace the other one, and that is probably the only way to get them to match again.
... yeah the new tsx is nice.
