Hi guys, great forum - lots of useful information.

I'm shopping for a sporty slightly used car with stick shift. RSX Type-S is on top of my list right now along with BMW 325i. Coupe vs Sedan doesn't make much difference (mostly < 3 people in the car). Both cars have
their strong points as both have their problems.

I thought I would ask for help.. My Cons and Pros:

325i

Pros: Rear-Wheel Drive, Drive Comfort / Fun, Best Looking / Classy Sedan out there, Performance, Quality interior.

Cons: Reliability & High maintenance cost

RSX-s

Pros: Performance - 210hp (2005 model), Reliable (Honda), Lower
Maintenance cost, Good Gas Mileage for a car that takes Premium, Sporty
feel (fun car to drive)

Cons: Basically it's a tricked out Civic with an awesome engine, tiny, cheap interior (materials used), Huge problem - 2nd and 3rd gear grind/popout

So I was basically all set to get an 2005 RSX but I read about Tranny
problems LOTS of people are having and decided that's probably not
something I want to be a part of.

I hear bad things about BMW's reliability - engines and transmissions
are good, but small things (anywhere from small interior part to A/C)
break all the time and cost an arm and a leg to fix (since not every
mechanic knows how to fix German).

Gas mileage and reliability are very important and with Bimmer it feels
like you're paying too much just for the BMW name. So any input I can
get is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
