i am thinking about buying a RSX probaly likea 2003-4 and i was wondering how fast one is stock, because the other car i am thinking of getting is a 2003 gti, which has a 200hp 24 valve 6 cyl engine, ant the RSX only has a 200hp 16 valve 4 cyl but ive heard gti's are slow, so my question is if an RSX is fast or not and if anyone knows the stock 0-60 time and if anyone knows how one stands up to a gti

i'd like to know how RSX vs GTI '03 models stack up as stock...

but RSX (non S type) only make 160hp not 200hp... at least that's what is is listed for. unless the factory underrated it... where did you get that 200hp for RSX notion? just curious... thanks! Edited by: djvaly

0-60 is like 6 seconds for Type-S. I have a blue 2002 RSX Type-S and I love it. It's relatively fast, but could be faster. If you are going to drive a lot, then get RSX. Simply because less gas since it's a 4 cylinder. If it's going to be a second car for parties or stuff like that, get the GTI.

Personally, though, I would go with the RSX Type-S over GTI.

Yeah, the Type-S is worth buying. I've had my 02 for some time now and it's a great car for both driving fast and a daily commute. But yeah the 0-60 times are closer to 6 seconds in the type-s I've seen anything from 6 seconds to 6.7. But i'd say the car gets to 60 closer to six sec. Plus the suspension just asks to be driven hard all the time around turns. Really fun car to drive. I had a 97 integra LS before my RSXS and it was the best car choice i've made so far.

long term also. that gti is 1 of the most expensive vehicles to maintain

and after about 5 years of age they are prone to wire vibration issues.

Honda/Acura is one of the cheepest man hours per part vehicles in production.

IE... it will cost less to have a timing belt installed because it can be done in 3 hours vs the gti's 7 hours

just a example but in most cases honda/acura's are easyier to fix/maintain.

I would say rsx type s also. there's a guy here in hampton, va that has a yellow one and its supercharged. that thing is insane especially on the track that he races on.
