Hey Everyone, I'm new to these forums. I've been looking for a new car for awhile now. My 98 Cadillac Deville just died on me so now I'm ready for a new one. Anyways I've been looking at second hand Mustangs, G35's, Nissan 350z's and Acura RSX. I'm leaning towards an RSXcause I'm only 19 andI think I'm just too young to be driving the other ones..My dad wouldbe generouslyfinancing this car to me.I found a second hand 06 RSX at a dealer ship for $29,955 Canadian dollars before bargaining and taxes. It's an automatic (would love to drive a manual and learn but i live in the city with lots of hills and traffic) and in very good condition except for the back seat which looks like it has some stain from a soda or something.. So I had some questions.

1) How much should I bargain the price to? The stain in the back seat really bugs me and it tells me that either the previous owner didn't really appreciate or take a certain care with the car or the dealership didn't. Everything else though seems to be in perfect condit.

2) What is the difference between a Type-S and Premium? (if it isn't a type-S is it premium?)

3) What would be the trade in Value of this car after a couple years?

Anyways, I would greatly appreciate some response's and relatively soon, since I could very well be purchasing this car today! Thanks.

Alex.

1) go check the blue book retail values on those cars... then bargain a bit lower than those...

goto

and fill in the drop down values and click "Suggested retail value" link.

2) type S has improved suspension, type S: 2002-2004(200hp), 2005(210hp and a new front and back facialpanels) and I believe 2006 (they regulated type Sto 201hp andthe base model to 155hp).

base RSX model remained 160hp except for 2006 model... good suspension for both auto and manual.

3) the value of the cars hold a bit better than the Civics I think... so

they are holding their value well. VTech engine, Japanese cars usually do, they are amongst the favorites for turbo/super charger and mods enthusiasts.
