If you had 16,000 to spend on a car what would you get ? Im thinking about getting a jetta gli for its 1.8 turbo and its 6 speed. or should i get a RSX type-s and trick it out in about 2 years with a turbo. what do you think ? I want to end up with at least 300hp. Do i have alot of engine mods with the type - s before i turbo it because its not a stock turboed car. Should I just go with getting that jetta and eventually buy a bigger turbo either way im in love with both the GLI and type - s so give me some ideas guys I'll appreciate it....

When I bought my new 04 spec V (Nissan Sentra) I talked them down to 13,500USD. Now it starts at around 143-149whp. If you buy a later model 04+ all the kinks have been worked out of the new qr25 engine and then you can put the turbo kit from powertechperformance.com on for 5000USD and you are pushing 274whp with only 7 psi. Now you can't go over 7psi until you upgrade the pistons with JWT's new pistons and if you buy the cams that allow you to rev to 7200 then holy f**k you have a machine that can take up to 600whp and not complain. But you will probably never get it that high. If you got it to 400 then you would probably kill yourself shortly after.

Then you have other cars. RSX type s is a nice car with a lot of available mods. 300zx. Integra GSr man do some research before asking such a broad question there are so many cars out there and so many mods you can boost anything to 300whp it is all about the money though. Holla when you run out of mods and don't know what to do next though I will help you out.

Stay away from VW. They are rated as one of the least reliable cars on planet earth by consumer reports. Don't get me wrong, back in the day when they were still made in germany, they were great cars. Now the majority are made in Mexico. I test drove a 18t and ran it hard for about a mile. the cabin filled with smoke....that can't be good!
