I've got a 2002 RSX type s that the check engine light comes on for day or two then goes off. I bought the car in August and a month later a code for the ELD (electronic load detector) comes on. A few days later it pulls two more codes (1166 & 1167) that mean the same thing (O2 sensor pre-cat). I replaced the O2 sensor and the relay for the ELD, but The light comes on for a day or two with the ELD code (1298) and one of the O2 sensor codes (1167). I've heard you can only replace the ELD by replacing the fuse box itself. The cars been running kinda rough lately too. Does anybody know whats going on? I need help!< src="http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" ="text/"></>< ="text/">_uacct = "UA-939292-41";

eld codes.

first thing has the batt been relocated?
are your cables corroded?
is there a huge sterio in the car now?

some of these things can piss off the ELD unit.

make sure you got good grounds EVERYWHERE and that there is no corrosion.

No...
The stereo is the stock BOSE system. I changed the battery myself when I bought the car and there wasn't any corrosion on the posts. I haven't relocated the battery yet because of all this.

I guess I need to check out my grounds but otherwise I don't really know.

Thanks for your help!

I was remembering the codes off the top of my head so I may have the wrong numbers (sorry). I managed to get all the codes cleared except for a Cat code so I may very well need a catalytic converter, but thanks for your help
