AC problem

AC blows ice cold when I first start. In hot weather AC is fine then fades out, then comes back, then fades out, then comes back. My 90 MB has an overpressure switch which will cause compresser to kit off if pressure is too high. Is this what is happening here? or is there a malunction in the temp control? Where is the overpressure switch located on this car? Any other ideas or anyone have a similar problem? Thanks

I had the same problem last week. Thought it was low on freon so I filled it. Still same issue. I replaced relay in engine. No change. I could hear the compressor coming on and off. Turns out it was the compressor or clutch. Bought a replacement that had both from Amazon. Also some of them have 2 fans in the engine. One of my fans was not working.
I had hoped for something simple but it wasn’t
at least have have cold AC here in south Florida

I have a similar A/C Issue, works fine when the engine temp is low, such as startup, until engine is warmed, then the A/C fan cuts off and the Air blows outside temerature air. I wonder if what I'm experiencing is an overheated engine causint the A/C to quit. Temp gauge is slightly above what was normal position, ODB!! reader says fluid temp is 110 Celsus. Maybe thermostat? Maybe water pump? cooling level is full;
