RDX transmission issue

Hello all,

I’m looking at buying a 2017 RDX. 2 of the ones I test drove seemed to shift hard or “jump” while driving it. One with 70K and the other with 82K. Is that just how they are or is this a common issue? I’m not really sure if it’s the transmission or maybe a sensor. There are no codes.

any thoughts?

I recently bought a 2013 and experienced abrupt shifting at low speeds. After reading everything I could about the problem I tried resetting the ECU. It brought the computer back to factory and the shifting adapted to my old man driving style. All I can say is that it shifts smoother now. Do a search for how to reset the ECU for your 2017. Best, Larry
