Question Question on hidden test procedure

Does anyone know about a hidden test procedure on the 2016 RDX w/tech package, which involves turning the ignition to the (II) on position (No starting the engine) then pressing the accelerator pedal to the floor and holding it for 30 seconds until the check engine light goes out. It was suppose to reset the transmission to factory default but instead the info system showed various subroutines being off (traction control, hill assist, vehicle emmisions and others and then when you actually start the vehicle the check engine light stays on, and will not go off and the info display indicates all of these including the power stearing need service. Was able to clear the errors but had to disconnect the battery to do it. Does anyone know something about this procedure?
