Is a 2009 RDX without navigation/entertainment system, Bluetooth audio capable? I can get to the Bluetooth phone working but not Bluetooth audio. Thank you in advance.

 

I have a 2007 RDX w/tech package and there is no Bluetooth for audio. In fact the whole sound system gets distorted when playing cds, plugging in AUX 1/8” cable. Sad, because when there’s no distortion it sounds pretty good, especially the big sub-woofer in the back. Hard for me to tell if it’s my hearing aids or the RDX sound system. (Ok, Boomer!)
The car itself is pretty noisy on the road which doesn’t help the sound experience.

I would like to upgrade to a sound system that uses Bluetooth or at least a usb-lightning cable input.

I like listening to the engine and turbo whine anyway!
