2013 RDX All Wheel Drive Replacement Front Sway Bar Links

Hey Everybody,
I have a 2013 RDX, I bought from Carmax 2 years ago, with 68,000 miles on it. Milage now is 87,000. I have had a local shop do all the maintenance on her & never went to the dealer. I needed to an oil change & went to the Acura dealer to buy the parts, I needed for an oil change. It was about $70, which I asked what do you charge for an oil change? The parts guy said $89.99 but we have a coupon for $20 off which would make it $69.99 plus tax. I scheduled an appointment for the oil change and a tire rotation the next day.
When I had the oil change done, plus tire rotation, the report back stated I needed some recommended work to be done...Air Cab Filter-$94.95, Front Sway Bar Links-$455, Brake Fluid Exchange-$189.99, Cleaning & Fuel Induction(Carbon Build Up)-$207. So if I did my math right, it would be $946.94 for work done without the main seal work, which would be a rough quote of $2,000. Wow, that oil change turned into a-lot of money for the work suggested to be done.
I went ahead and bought Moog front sway bar links for $143.61, with grease fittings, which I have already installed. The front end feels a bit tighter, the OEM links rubber boots were ripped. I like the fact that they have a grease fitting, which should help with ball joint longevity.
So my real question, what is needed to be done for the main seal repair? Is it a $2,000 job, because they drop the motor?
I'll flush the brake fluid, air filter and put a can of BG 44 fuel cleaner in to clean the fuel system, but the main seal is way over my pay grade. What air filter is the best oem or fram?
Is it normal for a main seal to go out at that milage?
Any suggestion on the main seal?
Thanks,
Mark
