I just got an 89 integra
anything is possiable.
all it takes is money.
IMo put the car on a diet. loose back seat, spare tire, ac system, carpet, radio, fender liners, almost every thing that is bolted down.
you can loose 150-200 pounds doing this.
on a 3000 pound car that will be like gaining 10 hp and adding stiffer spring and fater swaybars, and bigger brakes,AND gaining fuel milage.
then it time to spend money. intake and exhaust are a must.
replacing panels with carbon fiber to shave even more weight. lexan windows, light weight seats. light wheels and low pro tires.
that should cut the weight down another 200 pounds or so.
or look at it like adding another 10-15 hp
at that point you will need to lower the car to gain standard height back.
the thing will drive like its on rails and stop on a dime. and add 3-5 mpg.
turbos are fun as are a little bottle feeding. i have seen these things push 300hp and till 97 only a few of the corvettes passed 300hp and they weighed over 3500 pounds.
then again it is nice to have windows that work and a radio, and AC is nice when your cruisin. but thats the cool part there is so much you can do to these that go with what ever your mood tells ya too.
