Like the title says guys I was a bit of an early adopter f Acuras buying my first Integra in 91 and loved every day of it. I had the car till 97 when it had 275,xxx miles on it,original motor ad auto tranny although the tranny was starting to shift a bit hard but then it got wrecked and I moved on. After a few random trucks and what not in 02 I bought a 4th gen(97) Maxima and have been a Maxima guy since. My current Max has 117,xxx and runs great but sadly this one is an auto too. I come aross a guy with a 94 Integra 5 speed 2 door an he's looking for a 4 door sedan for the fam and we have discussed an even up swap or he's asking 3500 for the car cash. Is this too much for these cars these days? Forgot the actual mileage but Im fairly certain its nearing or just pass the 200k mark but says the engine was rebuilt 50k ago and eveything is 100% strong......does this sound reasonable to you guys or should I just look around a bit? I mean even up for my car isnt bad as I was asking 4k but was gonna go down to 3.5k if needed to get the sell but is a 3 year older car with that many miles worth it? I know the motors on these cars are great but are they still pulling that kinda moneyin fairly good shape? It has minor dings and bumper scuffs as does my car,we both live in the city. Sorry for rambling but I se dozens of these kinda posts at Maxima.org from new Max buyers and hearing some good responces from guys that now these cars can help someone from getting hosed abit. Thanks all in advance...Paul. Edited by: godson

ALWAYS look around see what the market is around there.

i think 3500 is a bit high for a 200k+ car

just my opinion

Well Ive spoke to him since and he said the motor was replaced 50k ago. We are tlkin about hashing a straight up trade for 97 Maxima. It has 117,xxx,its auto and need very little. Im talking it needs an axle and maybe 2 tires. Outside of that its a reat car but I ant something sportier and he wants somethig more family.

Take it to a mechanic whos aligned with that kind of car, and pay him to give it the once over..then make that decision...;)
