Just purchased a 2012mdx and still tryng to decide which towing package. should I get the full tow package at the dealer? Or have it installed after market? My only reservation with after market risking damage during install and not having it warrantee

Any thoughts?

 

depend if you want the harness installed, aftermarket you might have to splice and dice

 

Either place would be fine..the prices would be the deciding factor for me..

Well.. it certainly depends on the requirements of an individual for lining up to the vehicle. Well I would go with the after market hitch package due the authenticity.

 

i ended up going with an after market hitch that i purchased on the internet. the local u-haul installed for less than $60. I had also purchased the electric harness for ~$25. the 2012 MDX has plugs on both ends of the wires and fits right into the fuse panel. the wire is thin enough, and i 've never used it yet for lights, that i can just have the wire go through the hatch. this way i didn't have to have any holes drilled for the electric
