I have a 2007 MDX. I love the car, but the a/c fans up front come on and off on a cycle. It stays on 12 seconds and goes off for 6 seconds. It is quite loud. Has anyone had this problem and does it bug you?

i have not heard of this problem. i would have the dealer check it out. it should be a warranty concern.

The dealer says it is normal after checking the car, but it seems loud and repeats on a cycle that is timed vs. controlled by temperature. Do you have an 07 MDX? If so, does it do this?

It comes on for 10-12 seconds and off for 5-6 seconds on a repeated cycle once the car warms up. It seems it should be controlled by a thermostat, but it must be controlled by a timer. The Acura dealer thought it was odd and called techline. Techline said to test it and came back it was normal. The noice is fairly loud also.
