I have a '93 Legend (LS?) with a Bose system that has developed a short somewhere in the circuit (presumably in the unit), as when I remove the 20 amp fuse, the battery no longer discharges..! Apparently, there was a recall on the units (Service bulletin 87-015). Assuming the unit is shot and that the unit will not be eligible for free replacement (as it is out of warranty), what options are there for replacing the system? Is this a system where each of the speakers has its own amp so that one cannot just replace the amplifier with a different type of system?

Suggestions welcome.

Thanks

Thanks. I had the dealer run my VIN and my amplifier was not included in the service bulletin (it was mainly 91 and 92). I did call Bose and they can replace the amp for $200.

Thanks
