I have a 1990 Legend, 4 door, automatic.


I recently bought a stereo for this car (factory Bose with EQ - hope it works) and want to install it.


How do I remove the center console and trim pieces?


I have removed most screws but it seems that the center console will not lift up. What holds this down? I do not know want to destroy the wood trim that is there. It is still all original.


I have searched the forum but I cannot find any postings where we people tell how to find the hidden screws, pieces, etc.

Did you remove the side screws and the screws under the ashtray?
