My '88 Legend coupe recently cut out while driving. After drifting to a stop, it turned over but cut out as soon as I let go of the key. This has also happened in the past, after being parked even for a few minutes. After some time, it will start again, but then suddenly cut out for no apparent reason.

I find that if it starts but cuts out immediately, I can "fix" the problem by tapping the ignition switch (i.e. next to the key) with a small wrench. (Just like Fonzie.)

Does this sound like a relay, ignition switch or something else?
