i have a 95 integra special edition, i was wonder if you can swap the head to a 1.8 vtec without messing around with the computer or anything, or if anything else has to be done.

 

Hi...I'm pretty sure you have to swat out your ECU..YOu can find one on ebay im sure. However, I twould probably cost about the same to put a turbo system on your car instead. and ou can push more boost withyour stock head than you can witha v-tec head. So think about it. Mike

 

yeah thats what i thought, i was just trying to think of some stuff to do without dealing with turbos and aside from the exhaust and intake.thanks.

 

It is about $800 to do a vtec swap and you do have to replace the ecu...that is if you shop around and do the swap yourself. Be warned, if not done right, vtec swap will leak like crazy.
