Hey Everyone,
i wanted your opinion about whether i should pick up this 1995 integra down the street from where i live. i havent called the guy about it yet to see if it has any other existing problems but my main question is pretty much that, it has 225k miles on it, and i was wondering what these cars usually stop running at, i tried doing some research on it but i couldnt really find anything, also the guy only wants 800 bucks for it lol. but yea any feed back on whether or not i should look more into it or if thats just way to many miles for one of these things that'd be great.

thanks i really appreciate it,
egon

225k miles i own 1 with 340k on it

the questipon is how much more money is it going to take to get another 100k out of it.

im betting you need to AT LEAST have its timing belt and front engine stuff redone. ($500.00)

brakes? ($200.00)

shocks? (300.00)

rust? (god only knows)

that funny sound in the tranny? (1000.00)

driver side window motor? (200.00)

ignition switch? (100.00)

what ever you do make sure to take the car to a repitable shop and have them do a used car inspection.

have them give you a need to do list and go from there.

I have one that just turned 200k. Still going strong. Did have issues with
the thermostat getting stuck, also had the timing belt replaced again

800 bucks seems kinda cheap for any car that'll run and pass emissions. like everyone said take it to a shop. what's it gonna cost to run the car for 24 months. also check vin and engine numbers to make sure they match. If he has a problem with you takin it to a shop, forget it.
