I was driving through a puddle not thinking of my cold air intake and it sucked up a bunch of water. Now it makes a lound knock but it runs fine. Any ideas?</span></font>

I just did the same thing to my 1990 integra, you most likely bent a rod. I would have the engine looked at. If you love the car spend the money to get a new engine put in if the rod is bent, it will be cheaper.

yea you could have done alot of things, but you did probably bend a rod!! get it checked out!

Remember though, if you're going to get a new engine put it... make it better than the one you've got now.

I've done that before... It flooded really bad on this one road I like to fly on... and even though it was terrible out, I didn't speed - I just went the speed limit instead. Well anyway, I drove through the flooded area and heard a loud thud. I thought I ran over a tree or something... and then my car just turned off and I coasted to the side of the street LOL. Everytime I tried to start my car white smoke would just come out the exhaust. Eventually though, it started and stayed on with no permanent damage (that I know of). Good luck!
