How to check clutch in 95 Integra?
The last couple days, something has been going on with the clutch in my 95 Integra 5 speed. Whereas the normal distance the clutch pedal would depress was several inches, the last couple days the pedal was almost flat, pressing down to the floor only an inch or 2.
Can anyone tell me how easy or difficult it is to inspect the clutch myself? I have no idea where it's located or how to reach it (but have a Haynes manual for some guidance if I can only find the clutch first)! I've got some tools and used to work on my Nissan, but I don't know anything about the clutch. I live in L.A. where it's been in toe 80s-100s tall summer, and only recently has the temperature started dipping down in the 60s. The problem w/the clutch just started the first day it got cool, so I'm wondering if this affected the clutch any??? Any advice would be appreciated! |
Well to inspect the clutch you would have to take off your transmission. im not sure if its a cable or hydro. if its hydro check you fluid level if cable maybe your cable has slipped? Hope this helps if not come back on explain to us the results and give us so more info and we cn go from there

I know all the cylinders are firing, it idles at like 300rpm dont know if thats a problem???, its just like it has no balls up untill around 4000rpm, i know thats normal for my car. Just wondering what i can do about it.

that idle is really low my idle on my integra i just got is around 750-900 and i thought that was quite low. you might want to check your sensors. the no balls around those rpms should not have no direct link to your clutch. if the clutch was slipping it would have caught before that. I would put my money on the sensors. check em out yourself or get them checked by a professional

Dont get a swap. With the money that you where going swap it. Just build the hell out of the l.s. I love the **** out of mine. Non-vetec power is the way to go. All motor sray or boost it.

yeah man...i mean it still is a 4 cylinder. IMO i would do a GSR swap into that car. You want power thats the way to go....also consider doing an LS Vtec Swap.
